In the “My Time Off” section, you can efficiently manage your holiday requests for the year by following these steps:
Once you open “My Time Off,” your calendar for the current year will be displayed, and on the right side of the screen, an overview of your Paid Time Off (PTO) allowance for the current year will appear. Here is what you can find:
PTO Allowance: This will display the total of days you are entitled to take off for the year.
Untaken Holidays: Any unused holiday days carried over from the previous year will be displayed here.
Remaining Days: This will display the total of days you have left to take off, taking into account your approved holiday requests.
Approved PTO Days: This will display the total of days taken as holidays in the current year.
Pending Approval PTO: If you’ve requested any PTO but are waiting for approval, it will be displayed here.
Remaining Days: This will display the total of days remaining for the current year.
On the top-right side of the screen, click on the “+” button, and a modal will appear. Follow these steps to complete your request:
Name: Your name will be displayed automatically.
Absence Type: Select the type of absence from the dropdown menu.
Date Range: Specify the start and end dates of your requested time off.
Message: If you wish, you can add a brief message or a reason for your time off request. This message is visible to the person approving your request and can be helpful for them when making a decision.
Once you have filled in all the necessary information, click the “BOOK TIME OFF” button to submit your request.
When you submit your leave request, it will be sent for review and approval to the administrator. You will be notified of the status changes of your request via email. If approved, your holiday will appear on your calendar, and will also be displayed on the company dashboard so other users can see that you will not be working on that date.
